I am satisfied with my work in one year: MUDA Chairman

November 5, 2017

Mysuru: MUDA Chairman D. Dhruvakumar has said that he was satisfied with his work after one year in office.

Speaking to SOM on completion of one year on Nov.4 as MUDA Chairman, Dhruvakumar said that the distribution of sites in R.T. Nagar which was in limbo for the past 15 years, was one of the highlights of his achievement.

Pointing out that he had removed the time limit restriction for the public to visit MUDA office, Dhruvakumar said that he minimised the 100 percent value of a bit of land adjoining small dimension sites, thus helping the poor.

Stating that the MUDA was in immense pressure for resolving the Vijayashreepura land issue, the MUDA Chairman said that he was working towards finding a solution to end the row once and for all. Noting that there was no CA (Civic Amenities) site distribution in the past one year, he said that the process of allotment of CA sites was in progress and is likely to be completed in a week.

Explaining his other works, Dhruvakumar said that measures have been taken to distribute 800 sites in Lalithadri Nagar Layout and the Group Housing Scheme along Vijayanagar Ring Road was in progress.

Maintaining that the land acquisition for Ballahalli Housing Project is underway, he said that the Government has agreed to the proposal of land acquisition from farmers on a 50:50 ratio and the land losers were already paid Rs. 5 lakh per acre in advance.

Noting that Ramakrishna Paramahamsa statue has been installed at Ramkrishna Nagar Circle, which will be inaugurated by the Chief Minister shortly, the MUDA Chairman said that measures have been taken to install Maharani statue at Millennium Circle and Kempe Gowda Circle either at Apollo Hospital Junction in Kuvempunagar or Vani Vilas Water Works (VVWW) junction on KRS Road.
