Seer’s book bags Sri Shivarathreeshwara Award

Mysuru:  Sri Nirupadeesha Swamiji of Mareguddi Mutt in Jamakhandi taluk of Bagalkot has bagged Sri Shivarathreeshwara Award for his work titled ‘Siddharama Vilasa.’

Instituted by JSS Mahavidyapeetha, the award carries a cash prize of Rs.25,000 and a citation. Award will be conferred to him at a programme to be held shortly.

A scholar and orator, Sri Swamiji has more than 50 works in the form of poetry, prose, vachanas etc., to his credit.

Among the many awards and prizes he has won, include Ratnakaravarni Award of Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Annadaneshwara Pratishtana Award, Basava Bushana Award, Sahitya Seva Ratna and Adviser Literary Award.
