Shloka Recital and Elocution contests

Mysuru: Shloka Recitation and Kannada Elocution Competitions will be conducted on Nov.17 and 18 respectively in the Prayer Hall of Chinmaya Vidyalaya in Jayalakshmipuram.

Shlokas (7-12) from Chapter 16 is prescribed for the Shloka contest, where the contestants (only from 5 std. to 7 std.)  are required to give the gist of Shlokas in English or Kannada after chanting them.

While the subjects for the contestants (5 std. to 8 std.) taking part in the City-level Kannada elocution are Citizens’ role in maintaining cleanliness and Effects of participating in a  reality show.

The entries should reach the Head Mistress, Primary Section, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, by Nov.10.
