Silver medals and cash prizes presented to topper

Mysore/Mysuru: On  behalf  of Dr. Veena Bharathi of Laxmi Ashwath Foundation,  Prof. S. Sudha (formerly Professor of  Sanskrit  at Sharada  Niketana, Mysuru), presented the silver medals and  cash prizes to meritorious students at the Pratibha Puraskar event held at Sarada Vilas College, Mysuru, recently.

The endowment prizes have been instituted by Dr. Veena Bharathi (an alumnus  of Sarada Vilas College, a first rank holder herself in Zoology), in her mother Laxmi Ashwath’s name,  since  2008. This year, Soujanya S. Gangavati bagged both the Zoology highest – 2021 (cash prize of Rs. 3,005 and a 20 gm silver medal) and overall final year B.Sc.CBZ- 2021 (cash prize of Rs. 2,005 and 20 gm silver medal). Soujanya is now pursuing her M.Sc. in  Chemistry at Manasagangothri, Mysuru.
