Snake caught in traffic rescued

Mysuru: A rat snake, which was caught in traffic, has been rescued by the public and released in Kukkarahalli Lake premises on Tuesday night.

The incident took place on Mysuru-Gaddige Road near Kukkarahalli Lake.

The snake, which came out from the bushes next to the Railway Gate near the Pavilion, came on to the road to cross over to the other side, but was caught in the middle of the road due to traffic.

A senior citizen, who saw the snake, took a big stick, lifted the snake from the middle of the road and left it in Kukkarahalli Lake premises. Traffic came to a standstill for nearly 10 minutes till the snake was rescued.
