Inspiring play by C. Vasisht, who won both his Singles and Doubles matches enabled University of Mysore (UoM) to register a 3-1 win over Anna University, Chennai and enter the final in the South Zone Inter-University Men’s Tennis Championships 2019-20 being held at Jain College courts in Bengaluru on Saturday.

In the first Singles, Vasisht beat Lohith 6-3, 6-3 and in the second Singles G. Manish of University of Mysore lost to Kevin of Anna University 1-6, 2-6.

In the Doubles, C. Vasisht and G. Manish combined well to beat Siddarth and Kevin 5-7, 6-3 (10-8). In the reverse Singles, C. Vasisht beat Kevin 7-5, 6-2 to complete a fine win. Earlier in the quarter-finals, UoM had scored a convincing 3-0 win over SRM University, Chennai.

In the finals, UoM will clash with Jain University, Bengaluru for the title today.
