Sri Bhagiratha Jayanthi celebrations jointly organised by District Administration and Department of Kannada and Culture will be held at Kalamandira at 11.30 am tomorrow (May 4).  The event will be inaugurated by Social Welfare and District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa in the presence of Bhagiratha Mutt Seer Sri Purushothamanandapuri Swamiji and others. MLA K. Harishgowda will preside.

Kannada Book Authority Chairman Dr. Manasa, Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, Chamarajanagar MP Sunil Bose, MLAs Tanveer Sait, G.T. Devegowda, D. Ravishankar, T.S. Srivatsa, Darshan Dhruvanarayan and G.D. Harish Gowda, MLCs A. H. Vishwanath, Dr. D. Thimmaiah, C.N. Manjegowda, Madhu G. Madegowda, Dr. Yathindra Siddaramaiah and K. Vivekananda, Karnataka Exhibition Authority Chairman Ayub Khan and CADA Chairman Mariswamy will take part in the programme.  Jagannath  Sagar, retired Additional Commissioner, Department of Commercial Taxes, will deliver a special talk on the occasion.
