Mysore/Mysuru: Sanchalana Mysuru, in association with Directorate of Kannada and Culture, Bengaluru, has organised a five-day State-level Children’s Theatre and Folk festival from Jan. 9 to 13 at Kiru Rangamandira in Rangayana premises at 6 pm on all days.

The inauguration of Children’s Folk festival will be held at 4.30 pm on Jan. 9 at Kiru Rangamandira. Kannada and Culture Department, Mysuru, Joint Director V.N. Mallikarjunaswamy, Mysuru Zilla Havyasi Rangakarmigala Vedike Hon. Secretary Dr. Kumaraswamy and others will be present.  Students from Shakthidhama, Mysuru, Gorur Government Higher Primary School and Dadadahalli Government High School in Saragur will perform various art form including Puja Kunita, Veeragase and Kamsale. Children’s Theatre festival will be inaugurated same day at 6 pm. MLA G.T. Devegowda, Mayor Shivakumar and others will be present.

The five-day festival will feature various plays, dance and art forms along with stage programmes. Valedictory function will be held on Jan. 13 at 6 pm. There will be no entry fee.
