Mysore/Mysuru: In a bid to recognise and honour senior CBSE school teachers across Karnataka who have inspired a deep interest in the Kannada language, the Pariksha Spoorthi Foundation, in collaboration with the District Kannada Sahitya Parishat, will host the State-level Pariksha Spoorthi Guru Shreshtha Award -2025 ceremony in Mysuru.
The event is scheduled for Sunday (Aug.3) at 10 am at Navajyoti Auditorium, JSS Women’s College, Saraswathipuram.
Instituted with the goal of promoting Kannada language education at the School level, the award seeks to elevate the role of Kannada teachers and ensure the language receives its rightful place within the CBSE curriculum. The initiative is also a step toward preserving Kannada and instilling pride in students about their linguistic heritage.
This year, 170 Kannada teachers from across the State — Chamarajanagar to Belagavi — have been selected. All awardees have taught students who scored 100 marks in Kannada in 2024 CBSE Class 10 exams.
The ceremony will be presided over by Gundlupet MLA Ganesh Prasad, while MLC K. Vivekananda will inaugurate the event. Krishnaraja MLA T.S. Srivatsa will felicitate the awardees.
The event is being organised under the guidance of Niranjanamurthy, Deputy Director of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, College Education Division and Maddikere Gopal, President of District Kannada Sahitya Parishat.
