Student killed as bike rams into electric pole

In a reported tragic incident, a student suffered serious head injuries when he lost control over the bike he was riding and rammed it into an electric pole near Unnathi Nagar close to the Outer Ring Road here last evening.

The deceased student has been identified as Syed Saleem (18), son of Syed Yousuf, residing in Sankalp Apartment in Yadavagiri here.

It is reported that Saleem, a student of Mahesh PU College, after coming from the Toll Gate side, took a left turn near Columbia Asia Hospital to the Ring Road and was proceeding near Unnathi Nagar, when he lost control of the bike and rammed it into a roadside electric pole at about 4.30 pm. Though he was being rushed to a hospital, he breathed his last on the way, said the Police. N.R. Traffic Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
