Mysuru: A Symposium on Astronomy will be held tomorrow (Sept. 15) by Rotary Midtown Academy, Hootagalli, Mysuru, in association with Bellatrix Aerospace, Bengaluru at the Academy’s Abdul Kalam Auditorium in city from 9 am to 1.30 pm.
Rotary Midtown has pioneered in guiding and orienting young minds. Rotary Midtown Academy houses one of the most advanced mobile Telescopes which has helped thousands of young students, especially the rural students to sky watch and learn the cosmos.
Brahmanda is an exclusive event of Rotary Mysore Midtown focusing on Space Sciences. In its previous episodes, Brahmanda has brought together the best of the minds in space research and industry. Notable organisations like ISRO and Industries like Bellatrix have taken time to participate in the event to highlight and create awareness on the developments in Space Research to young minds. Thousands of High School students have been benefited.
In one such effort, Rotary Mysore Midtown intends to bring together High School students from Government Schools of Mysuru City to participate in an event which would be interesting, intriguing and exciting to them. Students will have an opportunity to have an insight and better understanding of Astronomy.
Tomorrow’s Symposium will highlight the wonders of Cosmos, enthuse young minds into Physics and the field of Astronomy and explore Research Opportunities in Astronomy. Rohan Muralidhar and Yashas Karnam along with C. Nikhita of Society for Space Education, Research and Development and her team will address the students.
