Talk on ‘Post-Independent Indian Science’ at Science Sanje

Mysore/Mysuru: As part of ‘Science Sanje’ event, Kalasuruchi and Kutuhali-Kannada have organised a talk on ‘Post-Independent Indian Science: Less known stories, unimaginable impact’ by Prof. L.S. Shashidhara, Director, National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Bengaluru, at Suruchi Rangamane in Kuvempunagar on Feb. 14 from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm.

Profile: Prof. Shashidhara is a distinguished developmental biologist and geneticist renowned for his work in evolution and functional genomics. He currently serves as the Director of NCBS-TIFR and holds academic positions as a Professor at IISER Pune and an Honorary Professor at                                               Ashoka University.

He has facilitated the training of over 10,000 teachers in inquiry-based teaching and organised career workshops benefiting hundreds of scientists, with a particular focus on empowering women in science.
