Mysuru: A two-day National-level Technical Symposium ‘TANTRAGYAAN -2017’, organised by the Department of Construction Technology & Management, JSS Science & Technology University – SJCE, for the Construction Technology & Management and Civil Engineering students with the theme ‘Recent advances in Construction and Management’ was  held on Apr. 17 and 18.

Er. R. Vedhachalam, Technical Advisor, HBK Holding, State of Qatar and Er. K. Sriram, Managing Partner of Tapovan Projects, gave technical presentations on the advancements and new technologies in the field of construction and management.

The symposium was inaugurated by Dr. K. Prakash, Head, Department of Civil Engineering.

Dr. G.P. Chandradhara, Head, Department of Construction Technology & Management, welcomed. H.P. Thanu, Assistant Professor, highlighted about the symposium.

Er. Vedhachalam released the technical volume ‘Tantragyaan-2017’ on the occasion.

Dr. T. N. Nagabushan, Principal, SJCE,  explained the importance and the need of Construction Technology & Management for modern scenario of changing needs of construction.

The symposium concluded with the valedictory function in the presence of Dr. S.K. Prasad, Professor of Civil Engineering and Er. P. Nagesh, Regional Head, UltraTech Cement Ltd.

Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners and the participants.
