Tanveer Sait lashes out at JD(S) on Dasara pass mess

October 21, 2018

Mysuru:  Even as Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, former CM Siddharamaiah, JD(S) Supremo H.D. Deve Gowda and other top leaders of the ruling coalition Government held a press meet at Bengaluru yesterday, as a show of unity for the Nov.3 bypolls, on the other hand NR Congress MLA Tanveer Sait has lashed out at the JD(S) over the distribution of Dasara passes.

Addressing the press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here on Saturday, Tanveer Sait alleged that the JD(S) had completely sidelined Congress leaders in Dasara celebrations.

Claiming that most of the Dasara passes were taken away by JD(S) Ministers S.R. Mahesh and G.T. Devegowda while completely ignoring local Congress leaders,  Tanveer Sait questioned that where all the passes had gone, when thousands of them were printed.

Alleging that even several Gold pass holders and other genuine Dasara pass holders were denied entry into the Palace for Dasara procession, the MLA claimed that passes were indiscreetly printed and distributed among the JD(S) workers that resulted in the mess.

Questioning the Government over non-appointment of members to various Dasara Sub-Committees, he demanded an answer from the District Administration and the District Minister for the mess. Asking for a white paper on printing and distribution of Dasara pass, he maintained that the District Administration had become a puppet of the District Minister.

Former MLA M.K. Somashekhar, District Congress President Dr. B.J. Vijayakumar, City Congress President R. Murthy and other leaders were present.
