Mysuru: A unique tender coconut opener with which you can draw coconut water without having to cut the green outer shell, is a big hit among visitors at the ongoing ‘Gruha Shobe’ exhibition at Maharaja College Grounds.

The fair was inaugurated by MLA G.T. Devegowda on Apr. 28 and is being organised by Gruha Shobe International Trader Fair. The exhibition will be on till May 7 from 11 am to 9 pm.

The coconut opener can be easily handled even by children and once the nut is pierced, water inside can be drawn from the opener itself eliminating the need of pouring the water into a separate vessel.

‘Gruha Shobe’ houses an array of home-appliances all under one roof available at affordable prices straight from the manufacturers of leading brands. The items include electronic items, air fresheners, sewing and zig-zag machines, toys, furniture, water heaters, fashion dresses and ready-to-eat food items.

The event also includes a competition to select Mr. Mysore and Miss. Mysore, a dance festival and a musical nite. About 40 leading companies are participating in the expo. For the first time, experienced doctors of HMHMC Ayurveda Hospital are providing Kerala Ayurveda treatment and Himalaya Panchakarma treatment at the venue.
