Mysuru: A thief, who had allegedly stolen the key of a house, has reportedly burgled the house using the same key and has decamped with gold and cash from the house.
The thief has decamped with Rs.30,000 cash and gold ornaments worth about Rs.1.15 lakh from the house.
The burglary took place at the house of one Manju Prasad, located on Dr. Rajkumar Road in Yeraganahalli Layout 1st Stage.
It is learnt that Manju Prasad’s daughter, who had one of the keys of the house had lost it along with the key of her scooter about two weeks back. On Mar.4, the family members found the keys in a pot kept at the house.
On Mar.11, when Manju Prasad’s wife opened the almirah to make payment for the clothes she had purchased, found Rs.30,000 cash stolen. She then immediately opened the almirah of her daughter and found one pearl necklace worth about Rs.30,000, an eight gram gold chain, 20 gram gold bangles and a diamond earring worth about Rs.15,000 stolen and immediately lodged a Police complaint.
Alanahalli Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
