Tiger found dead in Bandipur

A 12-year-old Tiger was found dead in the Kundkere Range of Bandipur National Park yesterday. The Forest authorities said that the tiger might have died of natural causes.

The officials said that the Tiger had no traces of wounds and added that the post mortem revealed that it had not consumed anything. Samples of the tiger’s viscera were collected and would be sent to the laboratory for ascertain the cause of death. Later, the officials cremated the carcass of the tiger in presence of Forest Officials and NGO representatives.
