Training in first-aid for industrial workers and supervisors tomorrow

DCP Pradeep Gunti to inaugurate

Mysore/Mysuru: Nanjangud Industries Association (NIA) along with the Department of Factories and Boilers, Industrial Safety and Health, Government of Karnataka, Mysuru Division, has jointly organised the 71st one-day training programme in first-aid for industrial workers and supervisors tomorrow (Feb.11).

DCP Pradeep Gunti will inaugurate the programme at Hotel Shree Guru Residency, JLB Road Cross, Mysuru, at 9 am. It will conclude at 5.30 pm.

M.S. Mahadevu, Deputy Director of Factories, Industrial Safety & Health, Mysuru, will preside.

The need for first-aid is greater than ever because of the increased use of machines and electric appliances in every day work at home, work place etc.

As per the statutory compliance, in every industry certain number of employees should be trained in first-aid and they should know the important procedure for treating the causality.  They should also know the procedure of calling the ambulance and shifting the injured to the hospital for further treatment.

The faculty for this programme is an experienced Doctor Dr. Prakash, Secretary, St.John’s Ambulance Association, Mysuru Chapter. The programme will be presented through lectures, discussions, interactions and demonstrations.
