Tree-man of Mysuru

March 15, 2020

Sir,

Kudos to Pharmacist N. Raghavan of  Raghulal and Co., for his self-less yeoman service to ensure we have a green cover in Mysuru, over a period of time. (SOM dated Mar. 11).

Many organisations in Mysuru plant trees on Environment Day or some other days and pose for photos and then they conveniently forget the trees planted by them. But Raghavan is definitely an exemption — he plants the trees, provides tree guards and also nurtures the trees planted by him and by others also by providing water.

He has planted thousands of trees and provided more than 15,000 Tree Guards spending funds from his own resources. This service will help future generations to have an eco-friendly Mysuru city to live in.
