Trench excavation cuts access to Telecom Layout residents

February 21, 2025

Sir,

I am writing to you on behalf of the distraught residents of Telecom Layout in Bogadi 2nd Stage.

A road contractor has dug up a trench across the only entrance to the layout without leaving any space even for pedestrians, let alone two-wheelers.

There was no planning or consultation on this overnight development. As a result, we are left stranded and have to take a 2-km detour just to be able to leave the layout.

We residents are at a situation where no emergency vehicles like ambulances or fire engines can reach safely.

Could the authorities concerned expedite the closure of this excavated trench and restore connectivity to the layout as soon as possible?

– Arjun Manjunatha, Bogadi 2nd Stage, 20.2.2025
