Mysore/Mysuru: In separate cases, two persons were killed in road accidents in city recently.
In the first case, a man, who was riding a motorbike was killed, when he fell from the vehicle at Belavadi last Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Ravikanth, a native of Madhya Pradesh, who was residing at Lingadevarakoppal in the city. He was an employee of a private company here.
On Sunday evening, Ravikanth, who had been to a playground at Belavadi to play cricket was proceeding towards his home on his two-wheeler when he accidentally fell from the bike sustaining serious injuries.
Though passersby immediately rushed him to a private hospital, the doctors who examined him declared him brought dead. A case has been registered at Yelwal Police Station.
In the second case, a pedestrian was killed when a Tempo Traveller hit him at Kadakola on Tuesday night.
The deceased is Nanjanayaka, a resident of Kadakola village in Nanjangud taluk.
Nanjanayaka was walking towards a bakery to buy bread on Tuesday night, when the Tempo Traveller, which came from Nanjangud side, hit him causing serious injuries. Though he was being shifted to a hospital, he is said to have breathed his last midway.
Mysuru Rural (South) Police have registered a case and are investigating.
