Sir,
Lately, there has been an increase in the number of two-wheelers (especially scooters) on the road that do not have a rear number plate.
While the Traffic Police seem to be busy with only catching riders without helmets, there seems to be an increase in other violations such as signal jumping and speaking on mobiles while riding or driving.
People are rude to drivers who respect rules and wait at signals for the light to turn green. Honest drivers are coerced by hooligans into jumping signals. This is especially true of signals that don’t have free left turns but impatient vehicle riders honk and shout from behind.
I had an experience recently of being shouted at by two persons on a scooter without number plates (see photo) when I was waiting for the signal to turn green.
I hope the Traffic Police will pay attention to violations other than the helmet rule also and take action against more serious offenses (like talking on mobile phone, signal jumping or violating one-way rule).

True..! on some places in Mysore City, there’s no Free left turn and impatient vehicle drivers honk and shout from behind forcing to jump the Red signal. Parking the vehicles on the Zebra lines, intrupting those who are on foot. I hope the Traffic rules should get more strict
The traffic police Dept has turned into a joke, never see them checking on one ways or monitoring signal jumping. All they are interested is in catching riders without helmet.
For few days they did the drama of catching cars with dark cooling papers and for not wearing seat belt, now that’s a thing of the past as if that rule never existed….Over all they are good for only making way for the politicians and nothing else.
