Uncleared garbage piles

July 6, 2025

Sir,

This is to bring to the attention  of officials concerned about garbage dump lying uncleared for days together on one of the road sides leading from Chennamma Circle in Hebbal 2nd Stage to Jakanachari Circle in Hebbal 2nd Stage.

It appears people are just dumping the garbage by the road side as this area is little deserted.

Will the Officials please take necessary action?

It is also observed that some of the Pourakarmikas are burning the plastics and other garbage dumped by passersby  under stormwater drain bridge in Hebbal. Burning of plastics is hazardous as it will pollute the air. The Pourakarmikas may be advised not to burn the plastic wastes.

Even though the use of single use plastic carry bags are banned by MCC long back, it is still used by fruit and vegetable vendors, bakeries and fast-food outlets. Even though Health and Environment Officials conduct surprise checks at markets and stockists of banned plastics, we  are still unable to ban it in toto.
