Oct. 31 last date for submission of online applications
Mysuru: The Karnataka State Eligibility Test Centre (K-SET) at University of Mysore, a Nodal Agency for Government of Karnataka, will be holding the test on Dec.31, 2017 (Sunday) for determining the eligibility for Lectureship / Assistant Professorship in various Universities/ Colleges / Institutions of Higher Education (Government / Aided / Private) in Karnataka State.
Notification of K-SET 2017 has been announced in K-SET website http://kset.uni-mysore.ac.in. giving all details such as eligibility criteria, scheme of exam, syllabus, old question papers, instructions to candidates, how to apply and other registration details for online application.
The test will be conducted in 39 subjects as per the UGC guidelines and list of subjects is given in the website. The test will be held at eleven Nodal Centres in Bengaluru, Belagaavi, Ballari, Vijayapura, Davanagere, Dharwad, Kalaburagi, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Shivamogga and Tumakuru. The exam fee for General category is: Rs.1,050; Category IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB: Rs.850; Cat-I, SC/ST/PWD(VH/PH): Rs. 550.
Last date for submission of online applications without late fee is Oct. 31 and with a penalty of Rs. 150 is Nov.7. Taking the print out of bank challan, payment of exam fee can be made at K-SET website or any nearest branch of State Bank of India. After two days of payment, candidates can download the application form, admission card and attendance slip from the website. The candidate should keep the admission card with him/herself and submit the hard copy of the application, attendance slip and Xerox copy of e-challan along with attested copies of SSLC, PG marks card and category certificate in an A4 envelope, superscribed “K-SET for Lectureship — 2017” to the Nodal Officer of respective test centres chosen by the candidate before Nov.10.
