MLA’s advise to young entrepreneurs to become job providers

Mysuru: The young entrepreneurs must use the facilities being offered by the Government to start their own enterprises  and become employment providers, said MLA L. Nagendra.

He was speaking after inaugurating the two-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme on ‘Textile Policy 2018-19,’ organised jointly by Zilla Panchayat,  Handloom and Textiles Department, Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) and Mysuru District SC, ST, BC Entrepreneurs Association, at the Rotary Auditorium on JLB Road here recently.

The Centre and State Governments are giving a lot of facilities to encourage young entrepreneurs to start industries and also organising training sessions. They should make use of this opportunity and start their own companies, which will help in solving unemployment problem in the country, he said.

“The labour force plays a very important role in the development of the country. Hence, both the Centre and State Governments have a huge role in protecting their interests. There should be a healthy relationship between the factory owners and labourers. This will help in fulfilling demands of both. Otherwise, the industries will come to a standstill and the owners will suffers losses and the labour force will be forced to be on streets. One should see that such a situation does not                    arise,” he said.

The farmers provide food to the nation and the labour force works for the development of the economy. The developed countries are using technology in both agriculture and industry. But in a developing country like ours it is better to give more importance to human resources than to machines, he said.

Nearly 50 people from different parts of the district participated in the Entrepreneurship Development Programme. The entrepreneurs also visited industries.
