District Administration, Mysuru ZP, Department of Scheduled Tribes Welfare and Nayaka Community Association of both Mysuru City and Taluk have jointly organised Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti on Oct. 13 at Kalamandira at 12 noon.  The event will be inaugurated by District Minister V. Somanna. MLA L. Nagendra will preside. Mayor Pushpalatha Jagannath, ZP President Parimala Shyam, MPs Pratap Simha, V. Sreenivasa Prasad and Sumalatha Ambarish, MLAs, MLCs and others will be present.  Prior to the stage event, a procession with the portrait of Maharshi Valmiki will be taken out from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple to Kalamandira premises.
