Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust will be conducting a veena recital by Vid. R. K. Padmanabha on Aug. 2 at 6.30 pm at Sri Avani Sringeri Shankar Mutt, Vidyaranyapuram, in city on account of last Ashada Friday.

He will be accompanied Vid. P.S. Sridhar on mridanga and Vid. V. S. Ramesh on ghata.

Artiste’s Profile: Vid. R.K. Padmanabha hails from a family of musicians and has been trained both in vocal and veena by his renowned musician father, Asthana Vidwan R.S. Keshavanurthy. A talented vainika, Padmanabha has earned the reputation for his mastery over the instrument and melody in playing. He has performed widely at home and abroad and earned many coveted honours and titles such as Vainika Ratna from Nanjunda Marularadhya Swamiji, Veena Visharada from Sringeri Kudli Mutt, Veena Vadana Chatura from Vidya Varidhi Swamiji, Hoysala Prashasti and Artiste of the Year from Gayana Samaj, Bengaluru and many more, according to a press release from Vid.
