Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha has organised the following concerts at its premises on JLB Road in city for this weekend:
July 30 (5.30 pm): Vocal concert by Palakkad Ramprasad from Chennai for Smt. Bhagirati & Kuskoor Krishnamurthy Memorial Concert sponsored by Kuskoor Bros & Sisters. He will be accompanied by Dr. Nishanthchandra on violin, K.U. Jayachandra Rao on mridanga and G. Guruprasanna on kanjira.
Palakkad Ramprasad: A Harvard alumnus, he is the grandson of mridanga maestro Palghat Mani Iyer and son of ace violinist T.R. Rajaram. He began performing at the age of eight and was catapulted into the top league when he performed at the Madras Music Academy in 2000.
July 31 (6 pm): Vocal concert by Rupasri Shankar from Dallas for Smt. Kamalamma & Gopalakrishna Chetty Memorial Concert sponsored by A. Shankar Chetty & Sons, Mysuru. She will be accompanied by Keshava Mohan Kumar on violin, Saishiva Lakshmi Keshava on mridanga and Shamith Gowda on ghata.
Rupasri Shankar: A Karnatak vocalist from Dallas, Texas, she is a student of Dr. Deepa Srinivasan and Vani Ramamurthi. She has been in the field for almost 10 years.
