Weekend Music Concerts at Mysore Vasudevacharya’s House

Two music concerts are being held during this weekend at the heritage house of Mysore Vasudevacharya in city. 

Vidu. Sripriya Vijay, a disciple of Sangeetha Kalanidhi Madurai T.N. Seshagopalan, will present a vocal concert on June 29. She will be accompanied by Vid. N.N. Ganesh Kumar on violin, Vid. Mysore A. Radhesh on mridanga and Vid. V.S. Ramesh on morching.

Aravinda Rangarajan from Chennai will be presenting a vocal concert on June 30. She will be supported by Vid. V. Bargava Vignesh on violin and Vid. B. Sai Sundar on mridanga.

Both the concerts, scheduled to start at 10.30 am, are open to all music lovers.

Vidu. Sripriya is a graded artiste of All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan, Chennai. She has been a regular performer in Singapore since 2007 at many prestigious venues. Sripriya has also been performing in Chennai at reputed Sabhas during the December Music Festival. Sripriya runs her own music school called ‘Swarathmika Fine Arts,’ where she is training many students and facilitating them to become stage performers.

Vid. Ganesh Kumar, a disciple of Vid. H.K.N. and Vid. M.A. Sundaresan (from the famed Parur School) and Vid. Radhesh from the PGL School are both ‘A’ graded AIR artistes, with stage experience of decades.

Aravinda is a disciple of famed vocalist Dr. Rajkumar Bharathi. She has also learnt from Vid. K.R. Saranathan and Dr. Prapancham Ravindran for many years. She has given many concerts and stage performances. Also, as a much sought-after Guru, she has trained over 50 students all over the world.

Vid. Bargava, who has learnt from his father and Guru C.K. Vijaya Raghavan and Vid. Sai Sundar, a disciple of Vid. Cherthalai Anathakrishnan, have both been regular performers.
