Why apathy towards Lingambudhi Road?

August 24, 2026

Sir,

I wish to highlight the long- standing apathy of the authorities towards the construction and proper development of Lingambudhi Road in Srirampura 2nd Stage, near Mahalingeshwara Temple.

Residents have been waiting for years for a proper road. Despite repeated civic complaints and the area’s continued development, this essential stretch remains neglected.

Citizens are left wondering why a basic public infrastructure requirement such as a properly constructed road has been allowed to remain pending for so long.

How much longer must residents wait for action? Are we expected to continue managing a neglected road until an accident or public outrage finally forces the authorities to respond?

We urge the Mysuru City Corporation and the authorities concerned to end this prolonged neglect and immediately take up the proper construction of Lingambudhi Road, rather than resorting to temporary or piecemeal solutions.
