Mysuru:  A 30-year old woman from Mandya, who was being treated at a city hospital after she had consumed poison at her home on Nov. 22, passed away in the hospital on Friday afternoon after failing to respond to treatment.

Divya (30), wife of Santosh and a resident of Cheeranahalli in Mandya taluk, is the deceased.

Divya, who was reportedly suffering from a stomach ailment, had allegedly consumed poison at her house on the afternoon of Nov. 22, following which she was admitted to JSS hospital, where she breathed her last on Friday.

She is survived by her husband and two daughters.

Mandya Rural Police have registered a case in this regard.
