A 25-year-old woman from Nanjangud died yesterday of suspected dengue. She has been identified as Gayathri, a resident of Srirampura Layout in city.

She was admitted with high fever to Apollo BGS Hospital in Mysuru where she succumbed.

It may be mentioned here that there are several cases of suspected dengue including areas like Neelakantanagar layout. Residents have alleged that the Nanjangud City Municipal Council authorities have not taken any measures to control  the outbreak of dengue and other vector-borne diseases in the town.
