Woman loses gold chain in bus

March 18, 2025

Mysuru: A woman has lost her gold mangalya chain while travelling in a KSRTC City Bus from Lingadevarakoppal.

The woman, who lost her 35 grams gold chain, worth Rs. 2.20 lakh, is 42-year-old Bhagya, a resident of Vinayakanagar, who is working as a tailor at a garment factory in Koorgalli here.

On Saturday evening, Bhagya, after finishing her work, boarded the city bus at the bus stop near Lingadevarakoppal. As there was huge rush, Bhagya got a seat after some time. When Bhagya sat down and placed her hand on her neck, she found her gold chain missing and immediately informed the matter to the driver. Though the bus was checked, her gold chain was not found.

It is suspected that someone may have yanked off her gold chain while she was boarding the city bus or the gold chain may have been stolen in the rush.

Based on the complaint from Bhagya, Jayalakshmipuram Police have registered a case in this regard.
