Workshop on Anchoring and Voice Over held

May 27, 2022

Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Visual Communication, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru Campus, had organised a two-day workshop on Anchoring and Voice Over titled ‘Skill Up with Badekkila Pradeep’ by the well-known voice over artiste Badekkila Pradeep at its premises in Bogadi II Stage recently.

Speaking on the occasion, Pradeep said that passion towards what one does is the main fuel to keep one working towards it.  He said that media is a competitive space as many institutions have come up and many people are in search of opportunities in the field. He stressed on the aspects to be focused on, to be a successful voice over artiste and shared tips on the do’s and don’ts of anchoring.

Talking about his initial days, he rephrased the popular saying of ‘struggling days’ to ‘learning days’ and added that success is not guaranteed because each person is different and their approach and understanding differs. It’s not the destination that matters but the process of working for it. Opportunities are endless when it comes to anchoring and voiceover. Holding a degree is not a big challenge but holding up yourself and having the right skills for the job is more important, he noted.

The practical sessions that followed offered a platform for the participants to try their own skills with expert comments and corrections boosting the confidence of each of them. Teamwise presentation of mock TV shows held a mirror for each one’s talent. Interactive approach that Pradeep adopted turned the workshop into a very fruitful and rewarding experience for the participants.
