Children of Arivu School symbolically launched the digital theatre series (Vaachikabhinaya) of Kuvempu’s ‘Bommanahalliya Kindarijogi,’ directed by B.V. Kanganda Appanna (Appaji), an ex-serviceman and a resident of Napoklu, passed away at the Command Hospital in Bengaluru following brief illness. He was 69. He leaves behind his wife, two sons and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held today at Napoklu, according to sources.

M.M. Chandy (Raju), a resident of Ashram Road in Jayalakshmipuram, passed away yesterday at a private hospital in Kochi in Kerala following brief illness. He was 77. He leaves behind his wife Bibi Chandy, two daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral will be held tomorrow in city.
