For the first time, ‘Geeth Gaatha Chal’ organisers have planned a special event this year called ‘Aap Ki Farmaish’

The cultural city of Mysuru is abuzz with excitement as it eagerly awaits the 23rd Edition of ‘Geeth Gaatha Chal,’ the most popular musical nite by doctors and their family members.

Scheduled to be held at Kalamandira auditorium on Hunsur Road in city on Jan. 5 (Sunday) from 5 pm to 9 pm, this much-anticipated event will be inaugurated by chief guest Dr. K.R. Dakshayani, Dean and Director of Mysore Medical College and Research Institute (MMC&RI).

‘Geeth Gaatha Chal’ has become a cherished tradition in Mysuru celebrated for its unique concept of bringing together doctors and their family members to present a mesmerising musical extravaganza. With karaoke renditions of super-hit Hindi and Kannada film songs, the programme resonates deeply with audiences of all ages, taking them on a delightful journey through the golden era of Indian cinema.

Since its inception, the musical nite has been sponsored by the benevolent Dr. M. Jagannath Shenoy, a visionary entrepreneur and his wife Mrs. Kusuma Shenoy. Their unwavering support and patronage have been instrumental in nurturing and sustaining this iconic event. This year too, their generosity continues to shine, ensuring the programme’s seamless execution and success.

The heart and soul of ‘Geeth Gaatha Chal’ is its Mentor and Chief Patron, Dr. C. Umesh Kamath. A guiding light for the participants, his dedication and passion have elevated the musical show to its current stature as a hallmark of musical excellence.

Adding a fresh dimension this year is the introduction of a new Organising Chairperson, Dr. Somnath Vasudeva. Known for his dynamic leadership and innovative ideas, Dr. Vasudeva’s involvement is set to bring renewed energy and excitement to the event.

The ‘Geeth Gaatha Chal-23’ will feature an extraordinary lineup of talented singers including Dr. M.S. Natashekhar, Dr. A.L. Hemalatha, Dr. P.A. Kushalappa, Dr. Snehashree Nirmalkumar, Dr. U.G. Shenoy, Dr. Somnath Vasudeva, Dr. Seethalakshmy Somnath, Dr. Shyam Prasad, Dr. Amrutha Upadhya, Dr. Shivani Nayak, Dr. Sushma Krishnamurthy, Dr. U. Ganesh Rao, Dr. Sushma Arun, Apoorva Natashekhar, Sparsha Shenoy, Bhumika Arun and  R.L. Varsha. This year, one  guest singer, Shabbir will add a special sparkle to the musical evening. A special event has been planned for the first time this year called ‘Aap Ki Farmaish.’

The event will be compered by the charismatic Syed Aftab Ahmed.
