Mysore/Mysuru: In the 36-year history of the Mysuru Dasara Exhibition, a unique event featuring an exhibition of handloom weaving skills is set to take place on Monday, Oct. 23.
This extraordinary 36-hour continuous exhibition of weaving skills will commence at 6 am on that day and conclude at 6 pm on Oct. 24. The event will be held at the Dasara Exhibition Grounds.
The event will feature the experienced Bengaluru weaver Nagaraju, who will demonstrate his expertise in handloom weaving by undertaking the challenging task of weaving a handloom saree for 36 hours.
The Karnataka Government Handloom and Textiles Department, in collaboration with Cauvery Handloom Bengaluru, is organising an Exhibition and Sale of Handloom and Handloom products at this year’s Dasara Exhibition. This initiative provides an opportunity for weavers and weavers’ co-operative associations to showcase products.
