‘50:50 scheme: Withdraw 25 MUDA sites allotted to Staney Almeida’

September 1, 2024

Mysuru: President of Mysore Division Catholic Christians Association Stephen Sujith has demanded that 25 sites granted under 50:50 scheme by MUDA to the Secretary of Cathedral Parish Society Rev. Fr. Staney D’Almeida be withdrawn and distributed among the genuinely deserving poor people.

Addressing media persons at Pathrakarthara Bhavan in city yesterday, Sujith disputed the claim that the land of Society was used by MUDA while developing Outer Ring Road and the layout. James Martis is the General Power of Attorney (GPA) holder of the land, who had developed the sites and had distributed among the applicants. Hence, the sites allotted to Staney Almeida under 50:50 by MUDA should be withdrawn and allotted among the needy. Besides, action should be taken against those who colluded in allotting sites to Staney Almeida, he urged.
