69th SGFI Karate Championship-2026: Amulya wins silver

Mysuru, Feb. 8 (VNS)- Amulya S. Kumar, a student of Amrita Vidyalaya, Mysuru, has brought great pride to Karnataka by winning a silver medal at the 69th SGFI Karate Championship-2026 held at Baramati, Maharashtra, recently.

Amulya created history by becoming the only girl from Karnataka to secure a silver medal. She is also the only girl representing the CBSE Board from Karnataka to win a medal at this prestigious National- level Championship.

She is the daughter of Kyoshi Sunil Kumar, Chief Instructor of the Okinawa Karate-Do Shorinryu Shorin Kai and Nisha, a High School Teacher at Panchavalli.
