CM Kumaraswamy keeping options open on aligning with BJP?

May 30, 2018

Bengaluru:  Said to be fed up with the Congress attitude over Ministry formation and allotment of portfolios, Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy (HDK) who aligned with the Congress in forming JD(S)-Congress coalition Government is now said to be keeping his options open on entering into an alliance with the opposition BJP.

Although HDK’s meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at New Delhi on Monday was formal, political pundits have said that there is more to it as the two leaders are also said to have discussed political matters.

Anticipating hurdles by the Congress in announcing Rs. 53,000 crore farm loan waiver, Kumaraswamy is said to be inclined to join hands with the BJP as the Centre may approve his ambitions announcement on farm loan waiver, which he had promised in the JD(S) manifesto prior to the Assembly polls.

Meanwhile, Deputy CM and KPCC President Dr.G. Parameshwara has scotched any rumours of HDK joining hands with BJP.

Speaking to press persons after seeking the blessing of Siddaganga Mutt Seer Shivakumara Swamiji at Tumakuru on Tuesday, Dr. Parameshwara admitting that there were certain confusions in Ministry formation said the top leaders of both the parties would sort out all issues confronting both the coalition partners and the Cabinet formation will take place in a couple of days.

He further said that it was natural for new Chief Minster of a State to meet the Prime Minister and as such there was nothing much in the meeting between HDK and PM Modi.

Even now it is not late for hdk to align with bjp for the betterment of the state and getting grants from the center. congress is a worst party and he should not have joined hands with that dirty party.

      We can understand your frustration.
So it mean if there is no BJP govt, center will not give grants to our state ?? Do not worry lok shaba is coming up

      • Thethreewisemen says:

What you are saying makes no sense. The Centre has discretionary powers in regards to finance, and can favour states. Nothing can be done about this.

        • syed matheen says:

Yeah, That is what they will favor only BJP ruled states ?? Is this not discrimination ??

They have a vision of sabka sath sabka vikas, Is it considered seriously or just a Jumla again ??

We are one the highest tax paying state. what ever government, but we need to get actual share for our state. IF not Lok shaba election are ahead people will respond there.

  2. thethreewisemen says:

Kumaraswamy, if he had the State welfare and voters welfare in his mind foremost, should abandon the dynasty party and join BJP. He then expect generous money from the Centre as well as special attention from the the PM.
