Sir,
The Government Sahakara Gruhanirmana Sangha, which purchased lands from landowners (agriculture farmers) has developed residential sites and the area is named as Somanathnagara (Kergalli). Now many houses have come up. While some are under construction, some are vacant land along with undeveloped parks.
Though Somanathnagara is a developing extension we residents are facing a lot of problems, especially lack of streetlights due to non-payment of electrical bills by the developer and irregular supply of water since two months. At present we have to purchase water through water tankers.
Not only this, the residents have also to put up with burglars as they are taking advantage of the darkness in the area due to lack of streetlights. Hence we the residents of Somanathnagara request the authorities concerned to rectify these problems as soon as possible.

Sir,
It is sad to read about the plight of residents of Somanathanagara.
It seems our “brilliant” officials seem to work backwards in developing new development. Isn’t it common sense to have proper water supply, sewerage, street lights and paved roads before distributing sites? A lot of the problems in the city can be resolved, if the officials use common sense.
