Mysore/Mysuru: Chamundeshwari MLA G.T. Devegowda (GTD)has instructed officials to take steps to prevent UGD and rain water from flowing into drains at Vijayanagar 1st, 2nd and 3rd stages.
The MLA gave the instructions during spot inspections to commence various development works in Vijayangar 1st Stage.
GTD, who saw the walls of a storm water drain passing through Vijayanagar 3rd Stage had collapsed, instructed the officials to construct them. He said that steps are being taken for the development of Aishwarya Petrol Bunk Road, Jodi Bevina Mara Road, construction of drains and other road development works in Vijayanagar 3rd Stage.
The MLA who observed that the residents of Hootagalli KHB Colony were facing problems to pay their water bills, he instructed MCC Commissioner Lakshmikantha Reddy to open a counter in Hootagalli City Municipal Council (CMC) Office so that the residents need not go far to pay their water bills.
The MCC Commissioner then instructed Vani Vilas Water Works (VVWW) Executive Engineer Suvarna to get the software installed in Hootagalli CMC Office so that the public can pay their water bills there.
MUDA Commissioner G.T. Dinesh Kumar and other officials were present.
I was happy to note that our chamundeswari MLA has asked officials to stop sewage water entering into Rain water drain at Vijay Nagar.
Here in NHB of Hootagalli KHB colony also we are facing similar problems.
We expect our MLA will arrange for needful in this regard.
Sewage water from near by private lay outs is let into Rain water drain of our area near the club.(Ranjana ranga.)
This is causing un bearable stench and has become breeding source of mosquitoes making people ill frequently .
Hope our MLA would solve this problem and ensure proper civic amenities in our area which has now become a City Municipal Council area.
Hey Ashok
You Indians/Mysoreans are still using the term ‘needful’ which was a daft term often used in 1950s, when the British left India, and English became Indianised!
India is a global supplier of communicable diseases like Polio, typhoid, cholera , dengue fever, bacterial dysentery, TB etc.., all because of the filthy standard of hygiene in the country. This mixing of sewage water is a good example why India is a third world cesspit. Sewage water mix is as old as India’s independence. Way back in early 1950s, this phenomenon of sewage water mixing appeared in a massive scale around Mysore.
This problem will never be solved, as long as Indians are comfortable in watching the entire Varanasi sewage water is let into Holy Ganga.
As for this corrupt MLA Gowda, who takes pleasure in instructing the MC and Muda Commissioner who are IAS officers-considering that this Andhrudu Reddy left a career in Engineering , and in business with a MBA, only to find himself ordered about like a petty servant and following this MLA like a pet dog, must be a shameless sight! Blame Sirdar Patel for this, as he wanted the IAS officers to do this, when he created this cadre!
Sewage water mixing with rain water and even with drinking water, is typical pride in Modi’s Tech India!
