October 11, 2022

Mysore/Mysuru: A miscreant on a scooter has lifted a mobile phone from the backpack of a girl, who was waiting at the traffic signal at Old RMC Circle on Oct. 6 evening.

The girl, who lost her mobile phone is B.N. Ramya, a resident of J.P. Nagar and an employee of a private firm in Bannimantap.

Ramya, after finishing her work for the day was proceeding on Bamboo Bazar Road where she stopped at the Old RMC Circle as the traffic signal had turned red.

When the traffic signal turned orange, a youth on a scooter came near her and passed by her side during which she noticed a mobile phone in his hand. When she checked the side pocket of her backpack, she found her mobile phone missing.

By that time, the signal turned green and the youth sped away. Though Ramya chased the youth on her scooter, the youth taking advantage of the traffic sped towards Vidyavardhaka First Grade College, entered Mandi Mohalla and vanished.

A case has been registered at Mandi Police Station.
