Temple authorities warn staff of strict action
Nanjangud: Following complaints of unauthorised entry of devotees to the sanctum sanctorum through exit door of the famed Sri Srikanteshwaraswamy Temple at Nanjangud by bribing outdoor temple staff, the temple authorities have warned of strict action against such staff who facilitate illegal entry of devotees through the exit door.
Following complaints and protests by devotees alleging that some outdoor staff of the temple were facilitating illegal entry of devotees during festivals, special days and other rush occasions by taking money from them, even as devotees who had purchased special entry tickets were forced to stand in long queues to have darshan of the deity, the temple Executive Officer (EO) Jagadish Kumar had orally warned the staff against doing so. But as the staff failed to mend their ways and continued with their errant ways, the EO put up a Notice on Jan.31 warning of severe action.
The Notice said that the wages of errant temple staff will be cut depending upon the number of devotees they are found to have let in unauthorisedly to the temple through the exit door.

It appears that these Temple authorities did not get the share of the bribes , a large percentage of which goes to priests. The chief priest provides special darshans for them, collects a wad of rupees, every time, he gives prasadams to each devotee who stands in the space neat the deity.
Take the example of the Ch and amundi Hill Temple, the chief priest there who looks like a cinema actor with neat hair cuts etc.., he has honorary doctorate too from a third rate institution whose authorities he favoured with special darshan of the Goddess, has become very rich by allowing selected rich devotees, and collecting hefty wad of Rupees from each of them when he offers prasadams, considering that the deity nearby is merely a stone or metal! He has become very rich and his appointment, indeed all chief priests appointments in temples are dynastic-meaning they succeed their fathers!
You see the dynasty not only works for the Gandhis, it also works for Narendra Modi, his brother Prahlad family getting special treatments, as also of Amit Shah, the home minister of India, whose son, Jay Shah literally runs Gujarat, and he is not even elected to the assembly there!
