Accident victim paid Rs. 10 lakh compensation

Mysore/Mysuru: The KSRTC has paid a compensation of Rs. 10 lakh to the kin of an accident victim who died after falling off from the emergency exit window of a moving city bus near Uttanahalli Cross on way to Chamundi Hill Temple.

Prabhavathi (34) was travelling in bus to Chamundi Hill, when she died of serious head injuries after falling off from the emergency exit window of bus (KA-42-F-2065), which was on way to Chamundi Hill, last year.

Now, the KSRTC Mysuru Urban Divisional Controller H.T. Veeresh gave a Rs. 10 lakh cheque as compensation to Yogesh, the husband of the accident victim Prabhavathi, on Apr. 6 in the presence of other family members of the deceased.
