Following persons have adopted the animals of Mysuru Zoo under the ‘Adoption of animals’ scheme by paying the adoption fee: Prof. V.A. Vijayan, Mysuru: Ring Tailed Lemur (Rs.5,000); Gowri Nagaraj, Mysuru: King Cobra, Indian Cobra, Indian Softshell Turtle and Gharial (15,000); M.N. Varadaraj Iyengar – Mysuru: Brown Capuchin Monkey (7,500), S. Manju and Rashmi, Mysuru: Indian Cobra (Rs.2,000); Dr. N. Seethalekshmy, Calicut: Ring Tailed Lemur (5,000); 3rd year B.Sc (Forestry) 2015-19 College of Forestry, Sirsi: Sarus Crane (Rs. 7,500), according to a press release from the Zoo Executive Director.
