The Department of Handlooms and Textiles has invited applications for admission to three-year Diploma course in Handloom and Textile Technology at different locations in South India. There are a total of 44 seats for the course.

Boy and girl students who have passed SSLC or equivalent exam with English as a subject are eligible to apply. The age limit for general category candidates is 15 to 23 years and 15 to 25 years for SC/ST candidates.

The admission is open for 22 seats in Karnataka Handloom Technology Institute at Gadag-Betageri in Karnataka, 17 seats at Indian Handloom Technology Institute at Salem in Tamil Nadu, 3 seats at Venkatagiri S.P.K.M Indian Handloom Technology Institute at in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh and 2 seats at Indian Handloom Technology Institute at Kannur in Kerala.Application forms can be obtained at the Department Office located on Sayyaji Rao Road (near old CAVA) and the same should be submitted with all necessary records before Aug.16.
