Mysuru: The Union Government has invited applications from eligible candidates who have rendered service in the fields of Child Development, Child Protection and Child Welfare for over 10 years for the Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva Award-2018.
Three persons will be selected for the award which carries a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh, a silver medal and a citation. People working in organisations on remuneration are not eligible for this award.
Award for individuals and organisations
The Union Government also intends to confer award on three individuals and five organisations for rendering exemplary service in Child Welfare for several years.
The award for an individual carries a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 3 lakh for an organisation along with a citation.
The application in duplicate filled in English should be submitted to the above address before June 20.
The Committee constituted by the State Government will scrutinise the applications and recommend the suitable candidate for the award. The applicants should also send an authentication letter from the local Police confirming registration of no cases against them.
Award for child achievers
Applications have also been invited from children aged between 5 and 18 years who have excelled in sports, art, culture or in any field for National Award.
The award carries a gold medal, Rs. 20,000 cash, Rs. 10,000 worth book voucher and a citation. Along with that, 35 silver medals will be presented covering each State and Union Territory, which caries a cash prize of Rs. 10,000, Rs. 3,000 worth book voucher and citation. Applications, along with two photographs, should be filled in English and submitted before June 30.
