Mysuru:  Ghanakrithi, a four-day Sculpture Show by artist Veeranna M. Arkasali, organised at CAVA College premises in Siddarthanagar, was inaugurated by Swami Athmajnanandaji of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama yesterday. The expo will be open to public from 10 am to 8 pm till Apr.23.

Speaking on the occasion, the Swamiji said that art has a special status in Indian culture and heritage. He opined that art can blossom new ideas and the artist can expose felling which words cannot.

On display are Bodhivruksha, rain-bearing cloud, journey of life, totalling over 28 exhibits, which will also be exhibited at  Jahangir Art Gallery in Mumbai from Apr.30 to May 6.

Senior Artist L.S.N. Achar, retired CAVA Dean V.A. Deshpande, Neurologist Dr. M.S. Bhaskar, Vijay Rao, Bharati Arkasali, Sanchi Arkasali, Kirankumar and Sanketh were present.
