‘B-Kharab’ issue of Kurubarahalli etc.: Our BJP MLAs should now appeal to Chief Minister Yediyurappa

August 3, 2019

Sir,

Now that a new Government under the leadership of B.S. Yediyurappa has come to power in the State, I feel this is the right time to take up the long-pending issue of MUDA-allotted ‘B-Kharab’ land classification in Kurubarahalli Sy. No. 4 and Alanahalli Sy. No. 41.

I had purchased a site in K.C. Layout many years ago hoping to build a house after my retirement. Presently, I am working in Bengaluru and will retire soon. With the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) not issuing site Khata and also not approving building plan, I am in a dilemma.

Since the Congress Government led by Siddharamaiah, which did only a lip service and the Coalition Government of H.D. Kumaraswamy too did not take the issue to its logical end, I, on behalf of hundreds of aggrieved residents, request the prominent leaders residing in these layouts coming under the said Survey Numbers to submit a memorandum to the CM.

– Surendra, Bengaluru, 28.7.2019

NOTE: Of course, the new Government has come and let us hope our MLAs would take it forward and find a final solution for the good of those suffering for the last seven years. During the last days of the Congress Government headed by Chief Minister Siddharamaiah, a Cabinet decision was taken to regularise the MUDA-allotted Layouts but unfortunately, the bureaucrats concerned did not pursue it with concern and speed expected of them. Our MLAs and the then District Minister too did not succeed for whatever reason.

Now that you have written this letter and like you, a few other victims too called me to say that I must take interest and pursue the new Government to put an end to our miseries taking the MLAs into confidence. I can only promise that I will try and as I keep trying, you from your end keep praying for the miracle to happen.—KBG
